As an Ipswich born and bred girl, I am proud to be the Director of the Yamanto Centre since we opened in May 2007. It has been exciting to work with the centre and staff from the very beginning, growing it into a thriving, happy place where kids learn, have fun and grow.
I started in childcare in 2001 – always knowing that working with kids was what I was meant to do. I started with work experience at a centre while I was at school, and grew in the industry across a range of roles. I undertook further studies and have my Advanced Diploma in Children's Services.
I enjoy being with the kids, listening to their ideas and innocent stories. I am a very hands-on Director, spending time with each child. I love knowing what is special for each child, and seeing the happiness on their faces when they come into the centre each day.
When not at the centre I like spending time with my two fur babies (super cute puppies), relaxing at the movies with friends, or enjoying the beach.
I love meeting new children and their families, so please feel free to come and visit our great centre. I will be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
